Starting in the construction sector during the final year of his degree, Mal Gunasekera embarked on a remarkable career path, accumulating over 16 years of valuable experience. With a strong foundation established in Singapore, Mal actively participated in the realization of large-scale projects, ranging from $100 million to $450 million. His involvement in these endeavours provided him with profound expertise in various aspects of construction, including high-rise structures and the delivery of impeccable quality finishes.

Continuing his professional journey in Australia, Mal contributed his skills and knowledge as a dedicated Project Engineer at St. Hilliers. His exceptional performance and unwavering commitment propelled him to join Kynetic Pty Ltd, where he rapidly ascended through the ranks, consistently delivering outstanding results.

In June 2019, Mal Gunasekera took on the role of director, demonstrating his leadership capabilities and entrepreneurial spirit by successfully operating Serendia. Under his guidance, Serendia has thrived, establishing a reputation for excellence in the industry.

Mal’s extensive experience, combined with his passion for construction, has positioned him as a dynamic leader, equipped with a comprehensive understanding of project management, construction methodologies, and the pursuit of perfection.
