Questacon Subsidence Rectification
Scope of Work
SERENDIA were initially engaged to investigate the reasons for ground subsidence. On completing these investigations, SERENDIA discovered the cause and provided recommendations to remedy, which included the installation of waterproofing to the Basement walls (which were non-existent). Questacon then engaged SERENDIA on a Managing Contractor role to complete the recommended improvements and waterproofing on three of the four elevations.
Challenges & Achievements
The project excelled in environmental stewardship, balancing complex construction with compliance to strict environmental regulations within a protected area. Zero incidents were reported, thanks to our ISO-accredited EHS system, positioning us as leaders in sustainable construction.
